Gray For Good…If You Are Famous, But What About the Rest of Us?

For Sure Hollywood is having a ‘gray’ moment. What about the workplace and relationships?

Have you caught the outpouring of media regarding women celebrities showcasing their gray hair at the Cannes Film Festival? Or the social fodder about Sarah Jessica Parker bravely flaunting her grays in the Sex In the City Reboot?

Flying the flag for a hair color that was once avoided, it was only a few weeks ago that Sarah Jessica Parker also showed off her roots in a photograph taken as she started filming the new Sex and The City reboot. Viva la gray revolution!

During today’s refreshing reckoning, all walks of life are finally and openly talking about our skin, our sexual orientation, our disabilities and more. On top of this, we need to speak about our gray hair. Ageism is absolutely a ‘thing’ and women with gray hair are poster people for the slight, for some…unfortunate reason.

What advice would you give to someone, who is not famous, about how to be confident letting their hair be their natural color? Help us get at some of these questions that can lead to answers on why gray for good is not a slam dunk for the unfamous.
